PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nuclear power plant capable of statically removing, without power supply from outside and an emergency power generator, a decay heat to be generated at a time of an event of losing all AC power or an accident of losing coolant, while reducing a construction cost at the same time.SOLUTION: The nuclear power plant is provided with: a steel reactor containment vessel 1; a reactor pressure vessel 3 that is installed in the reactor containment vessel 1; a suppression pool 4 that is installed under the reactor containment vessel 1 and suppresses the pressure in the reactor containment vessel 1 from increasing; a biological shield wall 5 that is installed on the outer peripheral side of the reactor containment vessel 1 with a gap; an outer pool 6 for storing coolant in a space between the reactor containment vessel 1 and the biological shield wall 5; a stem supply pipe 21 that extends from the reactor pressure vessel 3 toward the outside of the reactor containment vessel 1; a steam condensation heat exchanger 22 that is connected to the downstream side of the steam supply pipe 21, the steam condensation heat exchanger 22 being installed in the outer pool 6; and a condensed water discharge pipe 23, the one end side of which is connected to the downstream side of the steam condensation heat exchanger 22 and the other end side of which is connected to the suppression pool 4. |
