PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus including a plurality of sheet holding units with which when a plurality of sheets each having a divided image printed thereon are connected, misalignments between divided images are suppressed.SOLUTION: The printing apparatus comprises: a plurality of sheet holding units; detection units each detecting the number of sheets held in the respective sheet holding unit; a transport unit, a printing unit, and a control unit. The control unit executes: a transport process for controlling the transport unit to transport the sheets held in any of the plurality of sheet holding units (S106); and a divided-printing process for controlling the printing unit to print an individual divided image, which is obtained by dividing an image into plural portions, on a respective sheet transported by the transport unit (S107). In the transport process, the control unit selects, from among the plurality of sheet holding units, one sheet holding unit which holds sheets equal to or more than the number of divided images and causes the sheets to be transported from the one sheet holding unit. |
