PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a cyclone type dust collector to a dust collector for a railway vehicle provided under the floor.SOLUTION: In a dust collector, the outdoor air sucked from a suction pipe 18 into a cylindrical body 12 is rotated along a cylindrical inner wall inside the cylindrical body 12. Dust induced to the wall face of the body 12 by a centrifugal force while rotating inside the body 12 is induced by an induction part 26, to a bypass part 24 which is formed to the cylindrical wall portion of the body 12 excluding the pipe 18-installed area. Since the bypass part 24 reaches the opening 16 provided at the lower end of a diameter-reduced portion 14 via the outside of the cylindrical wall, the dust induced to the bypass part 24 is collected from the opening 16 provided at the lower end of the diameter-reduced portion 14, and the dust-removed air only is discharged from an exhaust pipe 22. Such being the above, the dust descends from the inner wall face of the body 12 along the funnel-shaped diameter-reduced portion 14 formed at a lower end vicinity part to be collected from the opening 16 provided at the lower end of the portion 14 and also to be collected from the opening 16 via the bypass part 24. |
