PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control device capable of appropriately controlling an internal combustion engine with an external EGR mechanism while appropriately ensuring high acceleration performance after shift operation during high acceleration and exhaust emission performance after the shift operation during low acceleration.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine control device controls the opening of an EGR valve of an external EGR mechanism to an opening just before release of an acceleration pedal if the acceleration pedal is operated to be released in a situation in which it is determined that a driver requests low acceleration, and controls the opening of the EGR valve of the external EGR mechanism to be lower than the opening just before release of the acceleration pedal if the acceleration pedal is operated to be released in a situation in which it is determined that the driver requests high acceleration. |
