A toothed belt having: tooth sections arranged at prescribed intervals along the lengthwise direction of the belt; core wires; and a back section in which the core wires are embedded. The core wires contain Lang's lay glass fibers, an adhesive-treated layer, and an overcoat-treated layer, with the overcoat-treated layer being formed on the surface of the adhesive-treated layer. The back section is configured from a rubber composition, with 5-20 parts by mass of a plasticizing agent per 100 parts by mass of a rubber component. |
