<p>The invention concerns a transverse segment (32) for a drive belt (3) for a belt-and-pulley-type continuously variable transmission with a number of such transverse segments (32) and an endless carrier (31) that is located, at least in part, in an opening (33) of the transverse segments (32) such that the transverse segments (32) are movable along the circumference of the carrier (31).
