PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To acquire a refrigerator which can suppress increase in an intermediate pressure by suppressing a refrigerant for motor cooling being supplied to a motor more than necessary, and which has a good coefficient of performance.SOLUTION: A refrigerator includes: a refrigerant circuit which has a two stage compressor 1 having a low stage compression part 10, a high stage compression part 20 and a motor 30 for driving these compression parts, a condenser 3 and a main expansion valve 4, and in which the refrigerant circulates; liquid piping 6 which branches one part of the refrigerant heading for the main expansion valve 4 from the condenser 3, and which forms a refrigerant flow passage for supplying it to a motor chamber 33 in which the motor 30 is installed in the two stage compressor 1; a linear type electronic expansion valve 7 provided at the liquid piping 6; and an opening/closing valve 8 which is provided at the liquid piping 6. |
