Provided are a device driver program installation method and device, comprising: a device information checking step, in which the information of a device connected to a host computer is checked; a driver program installation interface confirmation display step, in which the driver program installation interface is determined according to the detected information of the device; a driver program installation step, in which the corresponding driver installation files in the installation program are copied, according to the content selected in the driver installation interface, to the host computer and installed, thereby implementing the installation of the driver program. The present invention reduces user intervention during the installation process of a device driver program, thereby improving the success rate of device driver program installation programs, conserving installation time, and simplifying user operation. |
