PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing water generator that can reduce the exchange frequency by allowing the addition of a minute amount of salt water even if the amount of stored salt water is decreased due to the miniaturization of the whole of the generator.SOLUTION: A tank 330 comprises a water supply port 331 to which water W is supplied from a supply pipe SW and a water discharge port 332 that leads the water W stored in the tank 330 to a water discharge pipe WR. The tank 330 further comprises an overflow port 333 for discharging water overflowing in the tank 330 to a drain port D through an overflow pipe OF. The overflow port 333 is formed at a position lower by a predetermined distance than the water supply port 331 to form a space A. The space A serves as an isolation space preventing water or sterilizing water from flowing backward to the supply pie SW. A salt cartridge 360 is disposed in the isolation space.
