PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial stone that is lighter than concrete and at least as strong as semi-hard stone, and is obtained by using a large quantity of mud, such as dredged sediment, as materials.SOLUTION: A hydration-hardened body is obtained by hydration-hardening a mixture of mixing materials that include mud, a binder, and powdered steelmaking slag, the body having a mass per unit volume of 2,000-2,200 kg/m. A large amount of mud such as dredged material is used as a material, so that it can be utilized effectively. Furthermore, the resultant stone is lighter than concrete and at least as strong as semi-hard stone. Therefore, the artificial stone is particularly useful for applications of stone materials which require stone to be light, strong and durable. |
