Embodiments of the present invention provide a data transmission method and device. The method comprises: a base station sends to a user equipment request information, an identifier of a wireless local area network access point (WLAN AP) and a first IP address of the base station, the request information being used for requesting the user equipment to transmit, by using multi-stream aggregation, data with the base station through the WLAN AP; the base station receives acknowledgment information sent by the user equipment and a second IP address allocated by the WLAN AP to the user equipment, the acknowledgment information being used for acknowledging that the user equipment transmits, by using multi-stream aggregation, data with the base station through the WLAN AP; and the base station transmits, by using multi-stream aggregation, data with the user equipment through an IP tunnel and the WLAN AP, the IP tunnel being determined by the first IP address and the second IP address. The embodiments ensure service continuity in offloading. |
