Inverter with adaptive switching

An inverter (110) for inverting an input voltage to an output voltage is provided. The inverter (110) comprises at least one switching element (114) and a driver module (112). The switching element (114) is configured to be switched according to driver settings such that the input voltage is inverted to the output voltage. The driver module (112) is coupled to the switching element (114) and is configured to provide the driver settings to the switching element (114). The driver module (112) is further configured to vary a duration of a switching operation of the switching element (114).
