PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiband high frequency power amplifier capable of satisfactorily suppressing a second harmonic band without causing an increase of loss in fundamental wave band.SOLUTION: The multiband high frequency power amplifier includes: a first series resonant circuit 10a including a first variable capacitor 8a and a first inductor 9a, which is connected between a first path 5a and the ground; and a second series resonant circuit 10b including a second variable capacitor 8b and a second inductor 9b, which is connected between a second path 5b and the ground. A control unit 11 controls the ON/OFF state of first and second switches 7a and 7b which are connected in series to the paths 5a and 5b and the capacitance of the variable capacitors 8a and 8b.
