PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-in-water emulsion external pharmaceutical composition which contains clobetasone and/or ester thereof as active ingredients, and which is excellent in film properties, a feeling of use, stability, safety such as skin irritation, and moisturizing action after an application.SOLUTION: An oil-in-water emulsion external pharmaceutical composition contains 1) clobetasone and/or ester thereof, 2) mucopolysaccharides, 3) a nonionic surfactant, 4) carboxy vinyl polymer, 5) an alkali agent which should neutralize carboxy vinyl polymer. The mucopolysaccharides are one or more kinds selected from hyaluronic acid or a salt thereof, chondroitin sulfate or a salt thereof, heparin or a salt thereof, or heparin analogues. |
