PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter capable of expanding/contracting a balloon part with excellent response, in which an inner tube and an outer tube are communicated at near the tip of the outer tube with a simple means and the tip of the outer tube has a large opening area.SOLUTION: There is provided a balloon catheter comprising: a balloon part 22 capable of being expanded and contracted; an outer tube 24 whose tip end part is communicated to a rear end part of the balloon part 22 so that an inner section of the balloon part 22 is charged and discharged with pressurized fluid; and an inner tube 30 which is communicated with a tip end part of the balloon part 22, extending in axis direction at inner sections of the balloon part 22 and the outer tube 24. At a position near a tip end part of the outer tube 24 to which the rear end part of the balloon part 22 is jointed, reinforcement material 24c enclosed in tube wall of the outer tube 24 projects to outside of the tube wall to construct an inner tube holding part 50. The inner tube 30 and the outer tube 24 are communicated in a manner where the inner tube holding part 50 holds a predetermined part of the inner tube 30. |
