PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-mode resonator which increases the quantity of information to be handled, has expandability and is capable of reducing cost with a resonator structure in simple configuration having a margin in processing accuracy, and an RFID tag employing the same.SOLUTION: A chipless RFID tag and a tag system are disclosed in which a code is applied to a structure of a step impedance high-order mode resonator configured by electrically connecting two sets of composite transmission lines to be a symmetrical structure in a central part. The composite transmission line is configured by connecting in serial a plurality of transmission lines having an equal line length and having a plurality of specific levels designating property impedance of the lines. A combination of high-order mode resonant frequencies generated by a resonator structure corresponding to the code is detected, and the code can be identified. |
