PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate smoke, improve low emission performance, and improve acceleration performance even in a high load region such as acceleration time.SOLUTION: An engine control device comprises: an engine body; and a controller configured to actuate the engine body. The controller supplies a fuel to each combustion chamber after a last half of a compression cycle in the engine body. At a time of acceleration from a low load region A in which an air excess rate λ is greater than 2 and the quantity of fresh air is relatively large to a high load region B in which the air excess rate λ is smaller than 1.05 and the quantity of fresh air is relatively small, the controller increases the quantity of the fuel to a predetermined quantity and adds ozone before and during combustion during an acceleration transition period before a quantity of fresh air decreases to a quantity of fresh air in a high load region B. |
