PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiplexing device capable of setting identification information that is used for generating a TS signal for independent broadcasting, so as not to overlap with identification information of other digital television broadcasting.SOLUTION: A multiplexing device 20 includes a receiving section 22 for receiving other television broadcasting signals and a control section 24 in addition to a multiplexing section 26 for multiplexing program identification information/program array information (PSI/SI) on video/audio data or the like encoded by an encoding section 28. The control section 24 extracts identification information (network ID or the like) of the other television broadcasting signals from the PSI/SI of the other television broadcasting signals received by the receiving section 22, determines whether identification information for independent broadcasting that is set by a user via an external information processing apparatus 29 overlaps with the identification information of the other television broadcasting signals, and generates an alert if it overlaps. |
