The present invention relates to a precursor for producing perovskite and a production method thereof. In addition, the present invention further relates to a solar cell comprising the perovskite produced by using the precursor for producing perovskite and a method for producing the solar cell. The method for producing the precursor for producing perovskite comprises: producing formamidine by reacting metal alkoxide and formamidine·HX (here, X is a halide); and producing formamidinium halide by reacting the produced formamidine with HX (here, X is a halide).
