PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge device which inhibits a liquid from flowing out from a liquid cartridge to a liquid discharge head and prevents the liquid from leaking from a nozzle of the liquid discharge head when a posture of the liquid discharge device is changed in a state where the liquid cartridge is attached to the liquid discharge device.SOLUTION: An atmosphere connection part of a cartridge attachment part includes: an atmosphere connection body 46 in which an atmosphere communication port 46b is formed; an atmosphere communication film 47 which is provided at the atmosphere connection body 46 so as to close the atmosphere communication port 46b; and a sealing liquid 48 stored in the atmosphere connection body 46. When a printer is in a first posture, an entire area of the atmosphere communication film 47 is not covered by the sealing liquid 48 and the atmosphere communication film 47 is not sealed. When the printer is in a second posture, the entire area of the atmosphere communication film 47 is covered by the sealing liquid 48 and the atmosphere communication film 47 is sealed. |
