PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition capable of providing a molded article having excellent heat resistance and chemical resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided a resin composition obtained by heating a resin precursor composition containing 15 pts.wt. or more and less than 50 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin (A) having a glass transition temperature of 100°C or more and over 50 pts.wt. and 85 pts.wt. or less of a cyclic polyarylene sulfide (B) represented by the general formula (1), based on the total 100 pts.wt. of the thermoplastic resin (A) and the cyclic polyarylene sulfide (B), at 250°C to 450°C to convert the cyclic polyarylene sulfide (B) to polyarylene sulfide, the resin composition having a sea-island structure where the thermoplastic resin (A) is a sea phase and the polyarylene sulfide is an island phase and distance between particles in the island phase is 0.01 μm to 10 μm . In the general formula (1), Ar represents an arylene group and m represents any number in a range of 2 to 50. |
