PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit enlargement of the device and cost increase.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device includes a storage box 8 in which an absorber 81 capable of absorbing an ink is stored. The liquid discharge device is provided with: a passage 76a connecting an atmosphere communication port 98a, which enables an inner space 9a of an ink cartridge 9 to communicate with an exterior part to generate the atmospheric pressure in the inner space 9a, with an inner part of the storage box 8; and passages 24a, 25a connecting a cap, which receives the ink discharged from an ink jet head, with the inner part of the storage box 8. |
