The present invention relates to a method for predicting the risk of ankylosing spondylitis using DNA copy number variants. It was verified that the risk of ankylosing spondylitis can be effectively predicted by using a primer for detecting DNA copy number variants, of the present invention, and the sensitivity and specificity to the prediction can be improved by grafting single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) measurement results, and thus more fundamental approaches to the prevention and treatment of ankylosing spondylitis will be expected.
