PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system capable of recognizing a location of a monitoring object person and notifying a monitor of it, without having the monitoring object person carry location detection means.SOLUTION: A relay 20 distributedly-placed in a facility receives a radio signal sent from a tag 10 through short-range radio communication, and transmits information including tag information, reception power, an estimated distance and a tag ID to a center device 40 every time receiving the radio signal. The center device 40 builds a database for tag location monitoring on the basis of the transmitted information from the relay 20, and when location information on a particular tag is requested by an operation section or a portable communication terminal 60, uses the database to detect the location of the particular tag, and generates display information (map information) for displaying the location to output it on a display section or the portable communication terminal 60. |
