An application of a fluorine-containing polymer in the preparation of a transparent frozen soil. When the transparent frozen soil is being prepared, the fluorine-containing polymer is used as a transparent solid material. The fluorine-containing polymer is Teflon AF 1600 produced by the DuPont Company of the United States of America, having a refractive index of 1.31 and a density of 2.1 g/cm3 - 2.3 g/cm3, and having particles with a particle diameter of 0.25 mm - 2.0 mm or particles with a particle diameter of ≤0.074 mm, the particles being irregularly shaped. When the fluorine-containing polymer is used as the transparent solid material for preparing the transparent frozen soil, the prepared transparent frozen soil has high transparency and low costs, is non-toxic and non-harmful, has strong similarity to the properties of a natural frozen soil body, can widely substitute for natural frozen soil, is used to simulate complex geological conditions, and is effectively used for a model test in geotechnical engineering. |
