PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution and a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which enable the improvement of both of initial battery characteristics and battery characteristics after an endurance test.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolytic solution for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: an electrolyte; a nonaqueous solvent; and aromatic carboxylic acid ester expressed by the formula (1).
