PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical writing control device capable of preventing reduction of image quality caused by an installation error of light-emitting elements in the case of using a light source in which a plurality of light-emitting elements are arrayed in a sub-scanning direction as an optical writing device for forming an electrostatic latent image.SOLUTION: There is provided an optical writing control method in which an electrostatic latent image is formed on a photoreceptor by acquiring image information being information of an image which is to be formed on the photoreceptor as an electrostatic latent image and by controlling light emission of an LEDA (LED Array) print head including a plurality of LED element arrays which are constituted by arraying a plurality of LED elements 132a in a sub-scanning direction. In the method, information showing an error in a direction where a plurality of LED elements 132a are arrayed with respect to a sub-scanning direction is acquired, an adjustment value for adjusting an emission amount of each of the plurality of LED elements 132a is created on the basis of the error in the direction where the plurality of LED elements 132a are arrayed with respect to the sub-scanning direction, and light emission of the LEDA print head is controlled by the emission amount adjusted by the adjustment value.
