PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, e.g., a cathode active material which can be produced without a process of mixing carbon nanotubes and contains carbon nanotubes formed even inside secondary particles.SOLUTION: Iron particles 5 containing iron or iron carbide are included in lithium iron manganese silicate 3 represented by general formula LiFeMnSiO(0≤x≤1). Carbon nanotubes are grown starting from iron particles. That is, the carbon nanotubes are grown during annealing without undergoing a process of mixing with carbon nanotubes. Therefore, if iron particles are present inside secondary particles, the carbon nanotubes can be formed also inside the secondary particles. |
