PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which masks sulfur odor of a sulfur-containing compound by using a safe material, through a simple method requiring no special device.SOLUTION: A method of masking sulfur odor of a sulfur-containing compound is characterized by blending the sulfur-containing compound and Japanese pepper (Zanthoxylum) powder together. In a tablet form, the blend ratio of Japanese pepper is 0.2-1.0 mass%, preferably 0.2 mass%, relative to 1 mass% of the sulfur-containing compound. In a powder form, the blend ratio of Japanese pepper is preferably 0.1 mass% relative to 1 mass% of the sulfur-containing compound. The sulfur-containing compound is preferably α-lipoic acid. A supplement, a food and drink and a medicine containing a sulfur-containing compound and Japanese pepper powder with the sulfur odor masked by the method are also provided. |
