Proposed is a discharging screen intended for equalizing electric field intensity in the vicinity of a component of an electrical system or transmission line and enabling the discharge of an overvoltage in the event of a lightning strike. The discharging screen is designed for mechanical attachment to a component of an electrical system or transmission line and comprises an elongate conductor designed to permit electrical contact with said component of an electrical system or transmission line. The shape of the elongate conductor enables the conductor to bend at least partially around the component of an electrical system or transmission line. The characterizing feature of the discharging screen is the presence of an insulating layer which at least partially covers the elongate conductor, and the presence of an at least first main electrode mounted on top of the insulating layer and/or at least partially in the insulating layer. |
