DC/DC converter with multilevel modulation and/or soft-switching capability, comprising a first core circuit (10) with: - a controllable branch (1) comprising a first branch and a second branch connected in series in a middle node (25), the first branch including a controllable semiconductor (2) and the second branch including a diode (3, 3'); - an additional branch (4, 4') comprising a first branch and a second branch connected in series in a middle node (26), each branch with a semiconductor (5, 6, 6') orientated in such a way that they all can support a voltage drop in the same direction; - a first inductance (13) connected between the middle node (25) of the controllable branch (1) and a first ending node (23) of the additional branch (4, 4'). The converter does not require any transformer or any auxiliary controllable semiconductors to work properly, thus improving its efficiency and reducing its volume.
