The present invention relates to an apparatus for analyzing a fluid flow in a pipe network based on a geographic information system (GIS) and a method for providing the same. The method includes the steps of: storing and downloading pipe network data from an integrated GIS management server; extracting data corresponding to a request of the apparatus from the stored pipe network data; converting the extracted data to data appropriate for a pipe network analysis; displaying GIS-based pipe network information with a map on a display device based on the converted data; generating analysis result data; searching for an altitude value; and calculating estimated amount of gas consumption per hour.
