<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a hybrid vehicle which is improved in power performance and fuel economy and mounted with a battery including a lithium ion secondary battery, and to provide a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A control device for a vehicle includes: an adjustment power calculation section 460 calculating requested power Pchg* for bringing a battery charged state close to a target value within a range capable of being requested; a distribution processing section 480 performing power distribution between an engine and a motor generator on the basis of the total power Pt* and an input/output allowable power value to a battery; and a battery protection processing section 450.
