PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system and an authentication device capable of enhancing security by reliably authenticating equipment possessed by an authorized user.SOLUTION: An authentication ECU 110a provided in a vehicle 100 determines whether or not an electronic key 200 and a mobile device 300 are simultaneously present in the vehicle 100. Under the condition that the electronic key 200 and the mobile device 300 are simultaneously present in the vehicle, the authentication ECU 110a generates and registers authentication information for authenticating the mobile device 300 as a communication object, and supplies the authentication information to the mobile device 300. Thereby, the mobile device 300 is authenticated by the authentication information. Meanwhile, the authentication ECU 110a deletes the registered authentication information when a predetermined period has elapsed from a time point when the mobile device 300 is registered. Thereby, the authentication ECU 110a does not authenticate after the authentication information is deleted, unless otherwise the mobile device 300 is registered again. |
