A source follower for buffering the output of a MEMS microphone comprises a source follower M1, its current bias transistor M2, and an inverting current boost stage M3-M6 that reduces the output impedance. Positive feedback in the loop through the feedback capacitor C1V, bias transistor M2, and the current boost stage provides a voltage gain greater than one.
