An endoscope support tray 901 comprises a base plate 902 having side walls and hollow guide walls 904 projecting from a first side and support posts 910 projecting from the first or second side and arranged such that trays may be stacked on top of each other in a first orientation, in which adjacent trays are nested close together in a space-saving manner, or in a second rotated orientation in which adjacent trays are stacked a greater distance apart. Guide walls 904 may be castellated to accommodate endoscope parts in different orientations. A separate receptacle may be provided for receiving part of an endoscope and a liquid, such as detergent. Outwardly extending retaining hooks 935 may be used to retain a liner barrier sheet and cover on the tray the liner barrier sheet disposed between the endoscope and tray in use, and covered by identifying cover portions, or a bag, or a moulded shell covering lid, or a flexible sheet with absorbent pad. The liner and cover may alternatively be integrally formed as a sleeve sheath around the endoscope. |
