PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of adequately deciding the amount of light to be emitted in main light emission with one preliminary light emission without making the mechanism complicated.
SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus of the invention comprises an imaging device that converts a subject image formed through a photographing optical system into an electric signal and that has ordinal sensitivity pixels with a predetermined sensitivity and low sensitivity pixels with a sensitivity lower than that of the ordinal sensitivity pixels, and a control part that, for photographing using a stroboscope auxiliary light device to illuminate a subject, controls the amount of light for main photographing to be emitted by the stroboscope auxiliary light device based on results obtained by preliminarily emitting light prior to main photographing and converting the reflected light from the subject into an electric signal through the imaging device. When the level of a signal from the ordinal sensitivity pixels is equal to a predetermined level or lower in pre-emission, the control part controls the amount of light to be emitted for main photographing based on the signal from the ordinal sensitivity pixels, and when the level of a signal from the ordinal sensitivity pixels exceeds the predetermined level, the control part controls the amount of light to be emitted for main photographing based on a signal from the low sensitivity pixels.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
