The assembly comprises a collar (20) for clamping end portions of armour (4) on a cap (12), said collar being formed by at least two 180° sectors (21) comprising an internal cylindrical clamping area (23) of a width greater than or equal to 15 mm. The sectors (21) of the collar form an intermediate clearance (22) therebetween and are connected to one another by resilient clamping means (31) which can apply a clamping pressure that is greater than or equal to 75 MPa on the above-mentioned end portions of the armour (4) via the clamping area (23).
