<p>An apparatus 10 comprises a worktop 12 which comprises a first work surface 18 comprising a retention arrangement 22 for retention of a workpiece, and a second work surface 20; a support 14 for the worktop and connection means 16 connect the worktop to the support 14. The connection means enables the worktop to be moved between first and second positions at which the first/second work surfaces are presented to an operator. The first work surface may be on one side of the worktop, and the second work surface may be on another, different side, which may be the opposite side. First 150 and second 152 support means may be connected to opposite sides of the worktop, and may provide resistance against worktop movement. The support structure may comprise an air-permeable arrangement, which may be in communication with a suction means 58.
