<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC socket having a simple structure which achieves the installation and the position adjustment of an IC through one action of IC insertion, avoidance of excessive physical contact between the IC and the IC socket when the IC is inserted, and downsizing of the IC socket. <P>SOLUTION: An IC socket 10 includes: a housing 20 having an IC housing part 23 and an electrode holding part 24; and a position adjustment mechanism adjusting the position of an IC 50 in the lateral direction that intersects with the IC insertion direction. The position adjustment mechanism includes at least an elastic piece 25 disposed at a side surface of the IC housing part 23 in the lateral direction and elastically displacing in the lateral direction and a guide roller 40 rotatably supported by the elastic piece 25 and guiding the IC 50 in the IC insertion direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
