<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction device of a vacuum cleaner, with which a rotary brush can be easily attached to and detached from a case body and with which a region with no bristles implanted can be reduced in the aperture width direction for dust collection. <P>SOLUTION: The suction device 3 includes the case body 8, a driving wheel 26, a brush body 27, and a rotary brush 11. The case body 8 has an opening (suction port 13) for dust collection formed in the lower face. The driving wheel 26 is installed freely rotatably at an end on one side of the case body 8. The brush body 27 is installed in the driving wheel 26, with the lower end projecting downward from the opening for dust collection. The rotary brush 11 is connected to the driving wheel 26, with one end face facing one side face of the driving wheel 26.
