A safety device arranged for mounting on a users torso has at least one strap 4 configured for passing over the users shoulder. A device body comprises opening means, peripheral padding and a centrally located window 3. The opening means may comprise a zipper arranged peripherally on the body. Preferably a computer 1 or tablet device is located so that the screen is visible through the window 3, and safety information is displayed on the screen. Padding (21, 22, fig. 5b) is provided to hold the computer 1 or tablet in place behind the window 3, and the padding may comprise multiple peripheral shapes which are removable to accommodate tablets or computers 1 of different sizes. Means, such as a belt attached at a single end, may be provided to help dislodge the padding pieces. The safety device may be worn by a cyclist to display information to other road users. |
