A multilayered coating system for reflecting infrared waves is disclosed. The multilayered coating system comprises layer 1 positioned on a substrate, wherein the layer 1 includes a plurality of properly separated spherical particulates of radius a_1 and a plurality of properly separated spherical voids of radius b_1>a_1 that are randomly distributed, and a filler material of refractive index n_1 intervening in the spaces between the spherical particulates and the spherical voids; and subsequent layers expressed in the following word-equation: layer i positioned on layer i-1, wherein the layer i includes the properly separated spherical particulates of radius a_i and the properly separated spherical voids of radius b_i>a_i (wherein, b_i>b_(i-1) is satisfied) that are randomly distributed, and the filler material of refractive index n_i intervening in the spaces between the spherical particulates and the spherical voids, wherein integer i is one or greater. |
