<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type continuously variable transmission and a machining method for a component thereof, capable of, regardless of a state of an acting load, eliminating relative displacement between an outer ring (power roller) and a trunnion, in terms of axial direction of the trunnion, for stable gear ratio control. <P>SOLUTION: In the toroidal type continuously variable transmission, there are provided abutment support surfaces 15b and 28b, regulating relative axial movement between a trunnion 15A and an outer ring 28A which abuts with each other so that an inner end surface 15a of the trunnion 15A and an outer end surface 28a of the outer ring 28A engage each other, on both sides in the axial direction of the trunnion 15A, at the inner end surface 15a of the trunnion 15A and the outer end surface 28a of the outer ring 28A, facing each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
