<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a settlement system in which a registration device and a settlement device are separated, which can highly efficiently perform a settlement process as a store while suppressing an introduction cost and dispenses with an extra space. <P>SOLUTION: The registration device includes: first registration means that, in a first registration mode, stores information related to a registered article in a predetermined storage area; and second registration means that, in a second registration mode, outputs medium including an accounting code for specifying the information related to the registered article, to an output section.
