The present invention is related to a water-based printing ink or overprint varnish composition, characterized in that the composition comprising at least one polyvinylacetate polymer component as binder component and not more than 5-wt.%, preferably 0.1 -3 wt.-% and most preferably no polyurethane component, based on the total amount of the composition. The present invention is furthermore related to a process of manufacturing said water-based ink or overprint varnish composition, to a laminate comprising a cured layer of said water-based ink or overprint varnish composition, and to an article comprising a cured layer of said water-based ink or overprint varnish composition. |
