<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, which is improved in steering stability and durability to a level equal to or higher than a conventional level while reducing rolling resistance when the composition is formed into a tire, by compounding carbon black having controlled colloidal characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The composition includes 40 to 85 pts.wt of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>SA of 55 to 95 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g and a DBP absorption amount of 110 to 160 ml/100 g, compounded based on 100 pts.wt of a rubber component that includes 10 to 100 wt.% of aromatic vinyl conjugate diene copolymer having a glass transition temperature of -40°C or lower. When a mode diameter Dst (nm) in a mass distribution curve of Stokes diameters of aggregates of the carbon black and the N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>SA are represented by a relational formula of Dst=α(N<SB POS="POST">2</SB>SA)<SP POS="POST">-0.61</SP>, the coefficientαis 1979 or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
