PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of preventing local boiling of cooling water inside an EGR cooler at the time of warming up an engine and a control method thereof.SOLUTION: A control device 30a of an internal combustion engine is applied to an internal combustion engine having an EGR cooler. The control device 30a has a fuel control unit 41a for controlling a fuel injection amount. The fuel control unit 41a controls the fuel injection amount in an operation region defined as a region where local boiling of cooling water occurs inside the EGR cooler at a warming-up operation. |
