<p>The invention proposes a method for managing code resources, in a Code Division Multiple Access radio-communication infrastructure network comprising a network element capable of controlling calls between the infrastructure network and radio terminals, wherein the calls use code resources in a pool of code resources, and wherein at least some of the calls may use transmission on shared communication channels or transmission on dedicated communication channels, the method comprising the steps of: defining a first set of codes as a subset of the pool of code resources, wherein the first set of codes comprises code resources available for calls which use transmission on shared communication channels; responsive to reception of a request for establishment of a new call which uses transmission on dedicated communication channels, allocating code resources to the new call wherein at least some of the allocated code resources are selected within the first set of codes.</p> |
