PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, by targeting the field of precious printed matters such as bank notes, passports, stocks and bonds, etc., namely security printed matters requiring anti-counterfeit effects, a latent image printed matter yielding switchable different images having utterly no correlation in a case of being observed under a reflected light and in a case of being observed under a transmitted light.SOLUTION: The provided latent image printed matter possesses, atop at least a portion of a substrate, a first image formed with a colored osmotic ink having a hue different from that of the substrate and a second image either transparent or having a hue equivalent to that of the substrate and formed with an ink having a light transmissivity lower than that of the substrate and has the following characteristics; the first image is constituted by arraying, as straight parallel lines, multiple first elements along a first direction; the second image is constituted by arraying, as straight parallel lines, multiple second elements along the first direction; the first and second elements are arrayed so as not to overlap one another; the first image is visually recognized when observed under a reflected light, whereas the second image is visually recognized when observed under a transmitted light. |
